Candidates who passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination in 2010 and onwards (i.e., in 2011, 2012 and in 2013) are eligible to seek admission to 1st year B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com [General (Pass)/ Honours (Advance) / Major] courses provided he / she has also passed in English having full marks not less than 100.

For General (Pass) Courses

Passed 10+2 level examination from recognized Board/Council AND also passed in English having full marks not less than 100.

For Honours (Advance) Courses

• For candidates belonging to General Category
  • Passed in English having full marks not less than 100.
  • AND
  • Obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (average marks of best four subjects excluding Environmental Studies/Education if it is compulsory subject) AND at least 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the 10+ 2 level.
  • OR
  • Obtained at least 55% marks in the subject or related subject.
  • OR
  • Obtained 50% marks in aggregate (average marks of best four subjects excluding Environmental Studies/Education if it is a compulsory subject) in case the candidate HAS NOT studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination (10+2 level Exam) provided all other criteria are satisfied.
• For candidates belonging to SC/ST Categories
  • Passed English having full marks not less than 100.
  • AND
  • Obtained at least 40% marks in aggregate (average marks of best four subjects excluding Environmental Studies/Education if it is a compulsory subject).
  • OR
  • at least 40% marks in the subject or related subject at the 10+ 2 level.

N.B. :
If the subject ‘Environmental Science’ is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it can be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.

The college offers six courses at the undergraduate level belonging to 3 streams :
B.A. General (Pass) and B.A. Advance (Honours),
B.Sc. General (Pass),
B.Sc. Major,
B.Sc. Advance (Honours),
B.Com. General (Pass),
B.Com. Advance (Honours).
The college also offers two postgraduate courses in Zoology and electronic Science.

Details of the postgraduate courses will be dealt with separately in the context of admission to PG courses, however.

Under each course there are various subjects on offer at the Advance (Honours) level along with various combinations of General/Pass subjects subject to the availability of seats :

Candidates who have passed the H.S. (10+2) Vocational Examination conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training shall be eligible to seek admission to the B.A. (General) 1st year course of studies taking the subjects under Humanities Division only. However, candidates who have passed the aforesaid H.S. Examination in Business & Commerce shall also be eligible for admission to B.Com. General 1st year course of studies.

Online Application is valid only after payment of Application Fees @ Rs.75.00 per Application through specified branches of Axis Bank or College Counter.

Successful submission of online application will generate a report along with Pay-in-slip for submission of processing fee @ Rs.75.00 per application either to the designated branches of Axis Bank or to the College Cash Counter.

Click on the 'PRINT' button and get a print out in Legal Sized paper in portrait orientation.

Deposit Rs.75.00 either to the designated branches of Axis Bank or the College Cash Counter within the specified date and time (to be notified on the date of publication of results of H.S. Examination, 2013.)

Only after payment of application fee for admission @Rs.75.00 per application by means specified above, your on-line application shall be considered valid

• You need your 10+2 mark sheet to fill up the online application form. Hence do not attempt filling up the form without your respective board / council results.
